...Our Miss Suri, aka Tubby Tubster, is old. She's deaf and wobbly and sometimes she's like Bambi walking on ice, just falls down. She's got a giant fatty tumor (non cancerous and inoperable) on her side, that looks like the hunchback's hunch fell sideways. She developed a tumor/sore on her hip, which grew quickly. We brought her to the vet, it's not cancer (I really thought it was), she's on antibiotics, and will have it surgically removed next week if it doesn't drastically improve.
Oh Suri, you've stolen our hearts. Hang in there, old girl. Suri has nothing but goodness in her, she's a tail thumping happy monster. Seriously, her tail was hitting the garbage can when she greeted me this morning, wham wham wham. She lives for pets...and let's be real, snacks. She's lamer than the day is long, but somehow finds her hidden agility when something yummy is left on the counter.
I stayed here with Sunny and Newton, who was visiting (we dog sit him sometimes), and they did not like it when Paul left with Suri on a leash. Not one little bit.
Yesterday was a glorious day. The sun, ahhh. We spent some time on the deck, it's wonderful to go out there bare foot in a sun dress.Camille and I were leaving the other day and I realized we had the same color sweater, same kind of jeans...ha.
I cannot keep up with everything at the same time. If I go out and about too much, the house slips. If I keep up with the house, I get behind on going out and about ha. But really, yesterday I decided to put on a new duvet cover I had bought a few months ago from the Amazon bargain place, for four dollars, a really nice white linen cover. I washed it first, then put it on, phew, it's like a wrestling match. Now the other one is sitting here, I guess I will wash it and put it in the closet, even though I will wash it again before using it again because that's what I do. My tables are all stained and painted, waiting for their new handles to be installed. I am going to borrow a drill jig from Darius, have to remember to get it from him, so Paul can put them on...in the mean time, all the things from the drawers are in a basket. I have a few random shopping bags (new tablecloths for Evelyn's wedding shower, coming up in a few weeks), and Wulf's birthday party will be here on Sunday. I didn't order his Pokemon toys online in time, so now I have to go to Walmart. I have a box here with two cake stands in it, I bought a set of three varied height white painted iron cake stands from the bargain place, instead they gave me two lovely Hearth and Hand cake stands, not what I wanted but keepers anyway. Where to store them? I'll use them for showers and weddings, but I need someplace to put them.
Anyway, sorry for the boring scrambled ramblings.
I drove Miss Camille to her cleaning job this morning, then puttered around the yard a bit when I came home...the birds singing, the spring flowers trying to come up, it's so nice out. We had an awful winter, makes spring all the sweeter.
Today I am going on a quest, a mission...sorry, I do exaggerate, just buying something from Facebook Market place. I mentioned it to Paul, I don't think he heard me. It's insane. But, shh, I'm going anyway. I'll post pictures when I pick it up.
When Jonathan gets married and leaves, his room will be empty, or ha it had better be. I told him I don't mind him storing some things here in the storage room, but his room has to be empty. I want to put a day bed in there, so the kids can play in there but it can be used as a guest room. Then I started thinking about a place to set up my sewing machine...hmmm. A craft room! Doesn't that sound like a dream come true? But a play room is almost a necessity, it gets so crowded and loud in here when everyone comes over.
Lest you think my life is just bliss, I'll say this: my knees have been awful. The shots got me through Norway, through the dreaded Copenhagen airport, and for that I am deeply thankful. However, once I got back, trouble returned. My left knee clicks and gets caught and if it turns the wrong way just the slightest it's stabbing pain. The right knee, oh dear...if I stand even for a little while, aching and it gets stuck straight and won't bend. The nights have been awful, pain running up and down that right leg. I don't know if it's sciatica or just from the knee. I know, I need to go back in to my ortho and say: chop off my legs please, both at the same time, I'd like two bionic legs. But make it snappy, I have things to do. In the night, when I cannot sleep because of the pain, I think about when I can fit in a surgery...let's see: Wulf's birthday, Evelyn's shower, Phoenix trip, Abigail's shower, then Evelyn's wedding, (making cake and cupcakes for that) , my niece Grace's shower, Abigail's wedding, camping the next weekend...then three more camping weekends in the summer, plus my niece's wedding (Mariel and I are making the cake and cupcakes for that)....then I get up and get moving as best as I can, and I procrastinate calling the doctor.
Ah well....I need to vacuum the floors before I pick Camille up and go on our adventure....

Hi Della!
Yes those doggies do steal our hearts. Suri is such a gorgeous girl. Why do they have to get old so fast! Dear old girl 💗 I hope her sore heals up fast.
Have you tried a brace on your knees? My hubby had one for a while when he was waiting for surgery. Maybe you have. Just a bit of support. You are such a busy person! I get exhausted just reading about all you do🤣🤣 A play room would be good, but so would a craft room. Maybe it could be both 🤷♀️ I can’t believe Jonathan is getting married! He was just a little boy when I started following you. Surrounded by sisters! Well you certainly have a busy summer coming up!! Oh my!!
Have a wonderful day 🥰
