Well, this fine afternoon, Evelyn and I had a quick trip to the Amazon store to peruse the dollar bins. She was in a semi-hurry, as she had to get back to work. Time flies when you're pawing through junk! I did find this shirt though:
(oops, bathroom mirror needs a wiping!)...but one dollar!I also found some other things, totaling ten dollars. Some Target dolls, for a granddaughter's birthday, a package of five pairs of adorable Christmas socks, and a few other fine items. Evelyn found a bikini, for one dollar. And, a cute little basket to put flowers in.
I brought them some raspberries and Norwegian chocolate, and we had our snack and solved the world's problems.
Out the door right after dinner with Miss Char and Miss Cam, they are having a Jane Austen party on Saturday, and needed refreshments. Aldi, Hobby Lobby, and Target, all just quickly for what they needed. We're home now, ahh home.
It's been a DAY. I stopped and saw Margaret and Wulf, Tennyson, and Blythe too. I dropped them off a few donuts and some pants I had gotten for Wulf. I went in to visit for a bit, they are too cute.
Tomorrow I am going to the pool, then making the birthday cake and cupcakes. I bought all the chicken, so that's done. :)
It's almost bed time, and I am ready for bed. The weather has cooled off here, 72 or so today, with some much needed rain. Mmmm, very nice, although I do like the heat too. You all have a good night!

Della, what a cute top!! I love it. And an unbeatable deal, too! Can you believe it's already August. It always feels like summer just zips by. We're making plans today for how to seize the rest of summer for my girls, age 13 and 10. :) Hope that party is just great. :)

Your grandkids are so fun! Lately when I've had to run errands I find myself rushing just to get back home. For no real reason other than being home. There really is no place like home.
Wait, what, Amazon Store? They have a store? Like brick-and-mortar store? (grin)--wishing you a lovely day my friend.
Joy, the planning can be just as fun as what you end up doing. Some of the movie theaters around here show older kids movies for a few bucks, one showing a week at a specific time. Bowling? Tea party? The girls here are having a Jane Austen party tonight, and I got myself invited! Enjoy the days...:)
I agree. I was just telling my daughter Sonja yesterday, that even though our house has stairs to get in, I want to keep in good enough shape to stay here because I love our home. I look at the smaller one level houses that we could possibly afford, and cringe, this house is just the way we like it. Home...it's a wonderful place. (I find myself like that too, more lately, drawn to get home)
It's a store in up in Oswego, they get Amazon truckloads and sell all sorts of things. A lot are returns, so if they have missing pieces or something, you can return them. Sometimes they aren't returns though, they just get a whole bunch of the same thing, like espresso machines, I got mine there for $42. They have these big bins of things you can root through, they've been dollar bins lately. The store was better when it first opened, I got a really nice Shark vacuum for $70, a solid wood bookcase for $50, and some other really good things. I rarely go there now, but it was fun.
