and then it was friday!

Suzanne, such a nice auntie, played matching game with Rhys and Jamie...
Oh no, I've become a picture stealing grandma!  This is Margaret's picture, her little Wulf wrote it so he could catch some rays in peace, unfortunately:  4 year old Tennyson cannot read, and I'm pretty certain it was aimed at him.  :)

Pool this morning...then home to a visit from Ms. Suze (she's married now, so how can I call her Miss Suze?).  We had coffee and talked (oh, that after-swimclass coffee!), then headed to Aldi.  I got myself a present!  Wait, two presents!
I saw this in the online Aldi ad for $19.99, and decided it would go perfect on the deck where the siding is a bit melted from a grilling accident (years ago, not even on The List, but will be repaired Some Day ha). Well, there was one left and it was marked down to ten dollars!  Yes, Suzanne put it on the bottom of the cart for me!
Then this beauty!  I had one years ago, and really liked it.  It was $39.99, and I didn't get it a few times I was there, because...did I NEED it?  Well, today it was $33.99, not a huge difference, but there were only a few left...it's a gamble to wait to see if it gets marked down more...so I just got one.  It's super comfy, and I do have grandbabies to rock.  I can bring it camping...:)

All the food for my getaway with friends, phew.  I think I remembered everything, but thanks to Suzanne.  It was fun to be shopping with her again...they grow up and move away and get married...how dare they!

Back home, Kathryn was here with the kids.  I got to burp and rock baby Ellis, and get some sidewalk chalk out for the kids, and enjoy their cuteness.  Sonja came over for a bit too.

Ah well.   It's bed time.  In the morning, I have to put the beef, potatoes, carrots, ect. in the crockpot early, get it really hot, as we have to transport it about an hour to the airbnb, then plug it back in...what could possibly go wrong?  I'll wrap it in some towels, it should stay hot.  One thing that's been challenging to me lately is that our house has stairs, no matter which door you use...front door has half a flight, but then there is the front porch too.  My knees don't like stairs.  The bad one is awful, the good one is speaking up too, clicking and doing this thing that hurts really bad.  Everyone has their trials in life, and everything in me is protesting mine.  I'm getting weary of the constant pain, and really hopeful that the surgery will help with the one, at least, in due time.

The girls aren't here, and if Paul leaves before me, to work on that house, I'll have to just throw everything off the deck and hope for the best.

Ha.  You have a good night!

What is that box you got supposed to be? A planter for climbing plants? I like it, and good idea to cover something unsightly!
