...from all the way over here on the fifth. No time to blog these days, phew. We were just at our summer conference, and it was: hot, challenging, fantastic, encouraging, fun, crazy, rainy, then sunny...
Today is most likely a stay-at-home day. Paul is working, but the girls are all home. I haven't seen their happy faces yet this morning, they've been burning the candle at both ends. Staying up/out late, getting up early.
And: SONJA PASSED her NCLEX!!!! She's so relieved. She starts her new job in pediatrics at a big children's hospital in the city in August.
The Lillies are blooming. This is my very favorite time of the year. Barefoot season. When it's hot in the morning and the birds are singing, the pool is warm. Summer used to seem so endless. Now I need to shut down my calculating brain, which tends to dwell on the fleetingness of the days. When you're a kid, there are flowers, and you like them, that's that. When you grow up, you look at the flowers knowing that in a few months they'll all shrivel up and die, and you'll have to wear shoes again as frost comes around. You just know the transcendency of the seasons, but maybe it makes you appreciate the days more? The moments?Anyway, it's beautiful out. The sky is blue and the sun is shining and I like it.
