can we talk about Christmas?!

No?  Not yet?  Well.  This fine afternoon, I was in Target with Sonja and Kaia, and Miss Camille.  Would you believe they had Christmas ornaments out in the dollar section?!  Shh, yes, I did.  I bought four or five.  They are really cute!

To be fair, last Christmas was super challenging, as my mobility was...awful.  (I'm just so excited about it this year!!!)

Anyway.  This fine morning, I went out and about...filled the car with gas (ouch!), then met my friend Nancy for brekky at a really cute little place.  I had egg/bacon on a homemade biscuit, and a 20 ounce coffee, so good!  We caught up on things, and had a nice time.

Home....I discovered a broken glass, it was shattered on the living room floor and it had been filled with water.  I suspect Kettler, she likes to tip over drinks.  I had to clean that up, do some laundry, then clean the floors since I picked up the glass and cleaned up the water with the vac mop.  (If I had to empty it anyway, may as well clean the whole floor!)

Cam and I had things to do and places to go.  First, she needed some bloodwork done.  Then we had to get a script for Sunny.  Then, meet Sonja and go to Target...very important, ha.  I got a new sweater for 40% off, some chicken stock, a $20 rug for $6, and a those ornaments.  We came home and made chicken pot pies.  Sonja chopped the celery and carrots, I peeled and chopped potatoes and made the pie crusts.  We put frozen chicken breast chunks in the Dutch Oven on the stove, they defrosted pretty fast.  Then some chicken stock with all the veggies, plus half a bag of frozen mixed veggies, lots of seasonings, then thickened it up with a cornstarch slurry, added some heavy cream, and into the pie crusts it went...salt, pepper and rosemary on the tops, and into the oven.  The aroma of those baking, ahhh.

Sonja and Oscar and Kaia are home now, and the girls are studying.  It's quiet in here again.

Tomorrow is another day.  I am planning to do some sorting out, and some dropping off at the thrift store, as well as meeting Kathryn at the grocery store to help her get some shopping done.  With four small children and being 8+ months pregnant, I'd say she could use a little help.

I don't have any new pictures of Nicole, her cam hasn't been working today either.  Abigail said she's calmer today, but has had a rough few days.

Ah well.  Bedtime for Bonzo, whatever that means.  You all have a good night!

We can talk about Christmas, but I don't like seeing all the stuff out already! I'm just into Fall!!! However, I'm doing some shopping already - trying to get a head start.
I do remember how bad last year was for you. It will be so much better this year!

There has been all the Christmas stuff out in the stores here for the last month or so and I have been buying a few bits.
Breakfast sounds nice and it sounds like a good day! Yum to the pies!

Your Target sounds like it is SO MUCH BETTER than my Target. I never find any good bargains there. Sigh. I've got my Christmas shopping started. Feels good to be ahead of the game a bit. Cheers, Della! xo

I personally don’t want to think too much about Christmas till after Halloween. Having said that I have bought a couple of gifty things already 😊 We pulled names this year. We buy a nice gift for that person for around $50 and we buy something small for everyone’s stocking. Nothing over a couple of dollars. It gets just too much. And besides it seems to me no one needs anything nowadays 🤷‍♀️ It’s the getting together for a lovely meal and some games after etc. For me anyway. What would I know……..I will be 83 by Christmas 🙄😂😂

Baby Nicole is just soooooo precious 💗 It’s lovely to see her dear little eyes open 💗

I love the pictures of the little boys. Katherine’s little boys all look similar I think. All adorable.

Have a lovely afternoon…………….they mentioned the dreaded S word for the weekend here 🥶🥶🥶 How foul is that!! It’s our Thanksgiving on Monday.
