Write a draft and re read it several times and just decide not to publish it?
Go to the DMV, the post office, and the eye doctor all in one day?
Wish you could just sit in your comfy chair sipping your coffee instead of slugging it down so you could go to the DMV, the post office, and the eye doctor?
Ah well. Life is good. Yesterday I went to the pool, and when I got out, I had to message a guy about a washing machine, for a rental, and when I looked at my phone, Grace was telling me she was at my house with the girls while Grant was at his farming co-op. It was so nice, on a rainy day, to have company!
Paul picked up the washing machine himself, then delivered it later and set it up while I made dinner for Char and Cam. (chicken breast...we freeze a lot in baggies, I've found putting two baggies of it in the iron frying pan with a lid loosely set on top defrosts it quickly, then adding sesame oil as the liquid dissipates and it thaws, you can brown it up nicely and it tastes good. I made Asian chicken, I suppose...I added frozen and powdered ginger, salt and pepper, butter, orange marmalade, a spoonful of brown sugar. The chicken had been frozen in lime juice so it already had a tangy flavor. I stir fried frozen Asian veggies from Aldi with broccoli florets, and some raw cabbage. Added all together, and it was very good)
So my walking is getting better but my hip is really bothering me. I think it's my gait, and I am trying to fix it. The hip stuff did show up here and there before the knee surgery, but now it clicks every time I get up, and aches in the night. Getting older is full of perks, but hey, we're getting older, and that in itself is a gift and privilege.
I have to leave here now, and head out and about, all by my lonesome...it's on my radar to go to Aldi and BJ's too, as long as I'm in the small city. I'll be tired later! You all have a good day!

Somedays it is a relief to just stay home:)
I am always interested about the way you use lime juice for your chicken. It's just not on my radar, but I always think I need to try it when I read your blogs! I'm glad you are walking better!! Sorry about the hip... mine has been letting me know it is there the past few days. We just don't think about our joints and what we put them through until they start yelling at us!! Yes, getting older is all good, for sure!! Get your errands done and get in that chair of yours and relax!! My favorite thing to do, too!!
Yep! I do that all the time, write a post and decide not to publish.
How lovely to have company from Grace and the girls. The Asian chicken sounds good but sorry about your hip issues.
Hi Della!
I write emails and don’t press send and then wonder why that person didn’t answer!! I find them weeks later in my draft folder 🙄
I’m sorry your hip is sore. Mine is too! About 10 or so years ago I ripped the muscle off the hip bone on a rowing machine. It took a couple of years to mend itself with physiotherapy and the proper exercises. Now all of a sudden it seems to have reared its ugly head!! Not like the first time, but very achy…… I’m not impressed……….
I must tell you! My daughter turned 60 on Monday and she and 4 of her friends went to her place in Hawaii for a week. She decided she was going to skydive for her birthday, so she and one of her friends went! They were strapped to an experienced skydiver………she said they had about a 30 second free fall before he pulled the cord for the parachute! She said it was SO MUCH FUN!! And was like flying!! She sent my other daughter and me the video. Natalie felt sick 🤢 She’s not one who likes these wild things like her sister does 🤣🤣
Have a wonderful rest of the day!! We have sun at last!

Marilyn, I'm sorry about your hip. It's not fun. Your daughter though, wow!!!! I cannot even imagine, that is NOT my idea of fun. I'm glad she enjoyed it, what a youthful spirit she has! We have a nice stretch of days coming up too, sunshine!
Hello! Thanks for the chicken info, my friend. I learn so much from you! You know, I had an issue with my knee, mind you nothing like you had, but Peyton's father in law is a doctor, and he had me walk for him and he said it was indeed my gait. He explained that many of us walk by pushing off or something, but we should walk more like we are peddling a bike. I am not explaining it well, but he said it is Chi Walking? Anyway, it has helped me so much! I don't have that weird popping noise in my knee anymore!
