the sunshine state...

Surprise of all surprises, the boys from Oregon decided to come visit Grandma too, for a few days! Aaron and Riley are here in Florida too.

We stayed in a really nice place on Saturday night, and enjoyed the lazy river, floating in the sunshine.

Now we're with Grandma, catching up, and relaxing. Not sure what we're doing today...

Hi Della! I love all the photos.......everyone looks warm and relaxed. How nice the boys could come too! Sounds to me like you are having a lovely family time and grandma will be in her glory having some of her family around for a visit. Have heaps of fun!!

Hi Della- I’m sorry to submit anonymously but I’m on my phone (also in FL!) and my Google account won’t link. I wanted to ask if you could please spare some prayers for my family. I don’t know if you remember me, but I’ve been reading your blog for a while and am the same age as your oldest daughter. My dad was recently diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. I’m not a person of faith but I do believe in the power of prayer from the faithful. Would you and your family consider praying for my father? Just that he is comfortable, relaxed and not suffering. And that my mother, who has been married for over 40 years, is given strength and love to make it through this trial we have been given.

I don’t think god listens to people like me but I think he may listen to people like you, so your prayers would be so appreciated

Marilyn, it has been lovely to be with the boys again, they are headed back to Oregon now. I think they just had such a nice time with us in Mexico...:)

LK, I am very sorry about your dad. I will pray for him, and for your mom. I do have to comment about your last statement though: God gives grace to the humble, and sent Jesus to heal the sick, not those who are well and think much of themselves.

We're staying with my 89 year old ,mother-in-law here in Zephyrhills, and she hurt her leg yesterday, didn't know what she did to it. She limped around here, and I prayed for her! She got up this morning, and it feels fine. I know God hears our prayers. He doesn't always give us what we ask for, but what we need.

But, I will be praying for your family. If you want to keep in touch at all, I would like that, and you can email me at dellamom16@yahoo.com or dellaweston@hotmail.com. Give your mom lots of hugs.

Trouble with the wifi here at Grandma's house, ha. Anyway, LK, I thought you might be helped by our friend Dave's legacy blog. He was married with eight kids, and battled cancer for eleven years. He had such a positive perspective, and he sincerely believed he had cancer so that his life could help others. cnystahl.wordpress.com. CancerChronicles. I hope you appreciate his humor, and his faithfulness, and are helped by his writing in some way.
