and I am a grandma...

 ...I have been a grandmother for almost 12 years now.  Four of my kids have three children families, one has four children...and now Sonja and Oscar have a newborn baby girl!   I got to see her when she was less than two hours old!  I was in the small city, drove there to go to Marshall's after swim class...I knew baby was coming soon, then when she was born, Sonja wanted a pumpkin coffee...and yes, I would be glad to bring coffee to the hospital!  (The baby is BEAUTIFUL, and everything went well!)

 They haven't announced anything yet, so I'll hold off a few days, when I get home from camping you'll see baby pictures and find out her beautiful name!

We are leaving for camping in a little while.  I'm mostly packed.  It's going to rain this afternoon and tonight, 100% chance, so I made a nice dinner we can just heat up.  I had a pound of frozen stew beef I had gotten a few weeks ago half price at Target, so I got out the instant pot, and made stew this morning.  Sauted onion and garlic, added red cooking wine, then beef broth and seasonings, the stew meat, and carrots and potatoes. It's all done and in the camper refrigerator.  I have steak, burgers, garden veggies, eggs, bacon...good stuff for camping, all packed.  

I'm sitting here having a put-my-feet-up break, with a purring kitty sprawled half on the keyboard.   I'll go get dressed, and off we'll go.  It's fun to go camping with just Paul.  This is a family blog, so I'll spare you the details, but spending time with him is still so nice, it's wonderful to be in love.  Sappy or not, I'm super thankful for him, for us.  

Don't forget Miss Sunny Sunshine is going too, the one spoiled only child dog, ha.  She went to the vet the other night, so she has meds for the sore on her leg.  It's a psychological condition, when a dog licks at something so aggressively, so we're trying to keep her more busy and challenged.  She has to have the paw cleaned with a special solution after swimming in the lake, and is on an antibiotic, and Cynotic with Bantomine to rub onto the sore, with gloves.  ?  See, spoiled only child.  Paul bought puppy pads so she can sleep on the couch...
