when life give you sunshine...

...go to the beach!  Ahh, so nice!

Lake Ontario:  the water was clear and clean, temperature perfect, 72, but felt warmer.  There was a nice breeze, not windy, sand-blowing weather, just a breeze.  The grandkids got sandy and spilled goldfish crackers in the sand.  The teenage daughters played with the kids and relaxed on their towels.  The moms got chill a bit too, because beaches keep kids busy.

Home:  put the beach stuff away, and time to make some more zucchini bread!  I didn't use any artificial sweetener this time at all, just some honey.  Less than a half a cup, when the recipe called for a cup and a half of monk fruit or other granulated sweetener.  Almond flour, lots of eggs, a lot more ginger, cinnamon than the recipe called for...and some chocolate chips.  MMMMM.  I'm not saying it's keto, because of the honey and the chocolate chips, but I AM saying it's a good alternative to other baked goods, and it's so good.

Then time to make dinner, we decided on bacon and eggs.  We had some maple bacon from the Mennonites:).

Then Sam and Grace came over with Grant and Ruth, and....Maeve Louise!

Aunt Charlotte Claire and baby Maeve...

With Aunt Sonja...

She's so tiny and sweet!  She was 7 lbs 10 ozs.  Newborns are so special, straight from heaven.

I went to my water aerobics class this morning, finally!  And now, instead of starting the living room, we're going to the store with Kathryn...so bye for now!

How blessed you are with all those grandchildren:) I just traveled to Tennessee to visit my 3rd grandbaby when he was a few days old. That newborn phase is so special, I just love it.
