sunday afternoon lull..

We had a music feast today at church. The youth girls had decorated the tables with flowers and ribbons and candles. They also prepared lunch for everyone, build your own sandwich, and creamy potato soup, and a tossed salad with yellow, green, red peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, lots of good stuff. We are participating in Song Mission, which is a five year program where our church actually will write new songs, and ultimately make up a c.d. with old and new songs on it. Today was the kickoff, and we heard the girls' choir, the childrens' choir, a song by the brothers, and a solo. (Mali, accompanied by Margaret on the piano, and it was lovely!)

This was such an encouraging and heart-warming gathering. To have music is a gift, but it isn't just for entertainment. There is so much sin to be found and cleansed out when we do these things together as a fellowship, thoughts of things like, "why wasn't I chosen?", and feelings of being left out. When we are all faithful in these things, and do not get offended at each other, the love can only increase. God has been very good to us.

When we got home today it was such a nice feeling to know lunch was over! The kids are playing. Jon and Charlotte Claire are playing with clay. Camille is in her nap. We have dinner in the 'fridge, leftover potato soup, and some leftovers from yesterday. There is nothing that I NEED to be doing. So it is okay to sit here. It is nice.

But I should be going for a walk. I could be taking a nap. I was up for hours last night, couldn't sleep, then today had a wicked headache that only disapated after 2 acetominaphen then two ibuprofen. It is still there, muted and more background...but still there. I really want a nap. hmm.

It would be nice to go make some pumpkin pies. Oh well, maybe I'll just take a rest on the couch.....
