I almost stayed home today....

I just wrote two paragraphs, and Camille Anaya pressed the delete key....oh well....

Today I went out and about with my favorite and only sister. We went to Kmart, Babies'RUs, and Price-Chopper....+, the best thing of all, to visit our friend Hege in the hospital, she had her baby last night. A 10 pound 6 ounce girl named Amanda Nadine. There is something magical about holding a baby less than one day old. Fresh from heaven. So sweet, chubby cheeks....She had a room-mate who had just had her second son, her first being only 18 months old....she said she wants between 4 and six children, (I wanted to be a smart-aleck and ask if she meant 5).....my sister talks to everyone, just like my mom did. I do the same though. But my sister, she is funny. When we were in BabiesR'Us, there was a worker up high on a big metal ladder, in the aisle we were in. Her cart banged the ladder. He was apoligizing, saying he would move the ladder. "No, that's okay, I just wanted to bang into it to scare you....", she said to him.....

Emily the nurse was home today unexpectedly, she is needed more tomorrow, so she switched days. So I got a chance to go out with only Camille, and of course I didn't think twice. Price-Chopper was a bit hard, even with only one child. I had a shopping cart that was horrible....barely pushable (is that a word?)....and I had put the sleeping Camille, in her infant car seat (haven't installed the new one yet), into the cart before I found out how awful the cart was. By the middle of the store, when Camille woke up and was startled to find herself in the store, and wouldn't stop crying, I could hardly push the already full cart. I took Camille out, carried her, and tried to pull the cart....it would hardly budge. I almost cried. The last few aisles were torturous. Then, I just took the car seat out of the front of the cart, and sat her in the child-seat part, carried the car seat, and pulled the awful cart.....unloaded the groceries, ect.....I did tell the manager that the cartneeded to be retired or fixed.....

I missed the kids this evening, but we have milk, bread, and eggs.....diapers, cookies, apples....

I hear you! Monday I stopped by the local grocery store with all 3 kids by myself. Which isn't a big deal, but I wanted to be quick so on the way out so I picked up the carrier with sarah in it, got connor out, held connors hand, put groceries in a half cart. Catherine had JUST got her brace on her hand and was in tons of pain, and I just needed to get mom a birthday cake, which then turned into bread and drinks also.

Connor pulled and screamed the whole way to the van because he didn't want to hold my hand. Then as we got to the car I let go for 2 seconds to open the car door right as connor stepped up on the cart and it fell right back on top of him. Ugg....i just knew he had broke his leg but thank goodness he was fine.

Sometimes the grocery store just seems like such a challenge doesn't it?

And i know i did chuckle when I said "all 3" lol cause I know thats nothing compared...but hey sometimes ONE is too many lol.

Gotta have those diapers! Milk, bread, and eggs are good to have too.

I stayed home today... oh wait! No I didn't. I picked Troy up at preschool and ran in IGA for a head of cabbage.

I was going to stay home today as well - instead I ended up taking Jud to the emergency dept at the hospital - since I was in town I did all the little errands I do there (milk, bread etc.)
Your sister sounds fun! I wish i could just talk to anyone - it's certainly a gift!

Hey - I linked to your blog from another today. Nice to "find" you! I'm a mom to 26 (by birth and adoption) - 20 living at home. Fun to read about another large family!

By the way, your sister accidentally knocked the cart into that ladder, she was really trying to avoid it!! (Poor guy, do you think he stayed up there??) I heard her car-driving skills were pretty bad today, too. Why would they put a curb THERE, where she wouldn't see it?
I think I'll dream of babies tonight..
