thankfulness

When two children who wear Pull-ups for bedtime decide that they do not want to wear them any more, what do you get? Hopefully, a mom who is remembering to be thankful for a washing machine, dryer, and running water.

When you have a baby with a cold and cough, and probably reactions to the countless immunizations from the week before who wakes up more than she sleeps, what do you have? Hopefully, a mom who remembers in the long sleepness night how Jesus gave himself over to God, without complaining.

When the mom finally admits she just doesn't feel well, acknowledges that the pounding headache is not going to go away, takes 3 ibuprofen in the night, what do you get? Hopefully, a mom who is going to face the day with strength given by God, patience, and kindness.

When the mom still feels tired, lousy, headach-y, and miserable, what do you get? Hopefully, children who still feel love and care, because mom STILL believes that God causes ALL things to work together for the good for those who love Him, and are called according to His purpose.

Jesus said:

"I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.

Even so, Father, so it seemed good in Your sight.

All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him...

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

For My yoke is easy and My burden is light"....

Matthew 11, v25 - 30

When a mom believes with all her heart, that despite how she feels, God will give her victory, what do you get? Hopefully, someone like me......

And I know that you only boast in the Lord! And that God is doing an amazing work, in you, through you, and for you.. As I was reading, I was feeling how tired I am, and, yes, was tempted to complain in my thoughts!! (You were making me feel more tired!!) It's no more than we can endure, always.
