this is the day that the Lord has made

let us be glad and rejoice in it.....that is written in psalms. But my reaction to the new president of the United States is best explained by the look on Camille's face.....Camille in her election outfit.....

Ditto the feelings! Although I know that God is the highest power, I get a bit scared thinking of where the new president may be leading this country once he's in office. Who is he, really? And how in the world did he convince enough Americans that he's the guy? A guy who refused to place his hand over his heart during the pledge of allegiance; a guy who has for 20 years followed a minister who is anti-american; a guy who approves unborn-baby killing ... ??? I'm not going to let myself go crazy with worries, we'll see what happens, but could we have just let a dictator in the door? Okay, my little guy needs me!

I understand what you mean. Love Camille's outfit though!

An election outfit? You win!

I, on the otherhand, couldn't be more thrilled with our country's pick. With Hillary, Sarah Palin, and even Elizabeth Edwards...what a groundbreaking year, huh?

Perfect time to be homeschooling my children. Off to hit the books!

I don't know what to think either. My husband and I had very sleepless night over this country's decision. I am praying for him just as I do our current president that he leads us in the right direction. I think we are all going to have a long 4 years ahead of us. I live in Alabama so you can only imagine the things we've heard going around about what's going to happen if he was elected. God be with us.

I just hope I'm wrong about a certain person's inexperience and agenda. Perhaps he will surround himself with wise men and listen. And perhaps he won't mess up the Supreme Court more than it already is. One can only hope and pray.

And despite my dislike for the man, it is an amazing thing that our country now has a black president. Not a reason to vote for someone, but a neat thing nonetheless.

I'm afraid I feel somewhat like Camille. But, I am glad I know the One who holds all things in His hands. No matter what happens, I belong to Him. It doesn't get much better than that.

Tell Camille I'm having trouble even watching the news! I thought this wasn't about 'race'? Now all I hear is that it is! Why would that be? Well, at least the "media" is beside itself with happiness! They've done their job.. Ellen tells me that he plans on instituting mandantory preschool, and even eliminating homeschooling, eventually, along with talk radio. She also told me that God knows all about it, and it's in His hands now and always. One of the girls came home fairly disappointed, and I said, just remember to be fighting for your salvation with fear and trembling, and be anxious for nothing.. You should have seen our election outfits!

PS.. that was Mandatory, not mandantory. And I agree with your other commentors, God is in control, no matter what. So, WE need to be obedient!!
