sunny Saturday morning...

The crockpot is already filled with corned beef, the potatoes and carrots and cabbage will be cooked later. Cupcakes will be made, we're having a party! Ms. Mali Rose is turning 26!

She was born the day before our tenth wedding anniversary, our seventh child. Back then, the small hospital where all of our kids were born offered nice dinners for new parents. They had menus you could fill out before the birth, and they would take care of the newborn when you went to dinner, all decked out in your hospital jammies. I always brought some nightgowns from home anyway. They served really nice food, either lobster or roast beef, and dessert was delectable. They had a carpeted dining room, with music and low lights, it was really like going out to dinner. Well, the year that we had Mali, okay, Molly Rose, I'm going to stop calling her Mali now. She INSISTED long ago that her real name not be on the blog, but what's the difference? She just wanted it spelled a more cool way. Anyway. She was born on March 8, and our anniversary was the ninth, so we got to "go out to dinner" in the hospital.

The Great Toilet Paper Grab is real, everyone. I don't want to be a hoarder, but if everyone else is buying it all, I don't want to need it and have empty shelves. Everyone else is thinking the very same thing, thus the frenzy. I've read about parents not being able to get formula and diapers, wipes, how frustrating! I am not stocked up on everything. We have what we have, although shh, I do have three big packages of t.p.

There seem to be two schools of thought on this corona virus. One: It's gonna get us all! It's terrible! We should close the borders, stay home, buy all the stuff! Two: It's not a big deal! The flu is worse! Over reaction!

I am not sure what to believe. I do strongly suspect that China is lying big time about less cases, getting better, ect. I also really wonder why they would go to such extreme measures to contain this if it's just a flu. There were people dropping in the streets. I have this inkling that it is MUCH WORSE than the flu, that it spreads like lightning, and makes people extremely sick, and that it's being downplayed so we don't all freak out, and totally ruin the economy.

I hope it's choice #1, of course.

Tuesday morning, before sunrise, I will be boarding a plane, and I will be heading to California. I have already packed sanitizing wipes in a baggie, and will be wiping down the seat on the plane. I will bring my own water bottle, and say a polite "no thank you" to any snacks or drinks on the plane. Free stuff on JetBlue, but nah. I'm not superstitious, just a little stitious, ha.

Okay...time to bake some cuppy-cakes...

Good morning Della 🌞🌞 I’m not too sure about all of this either. My daughter saw something interesting......use equal parts aloe Vera and rubbing alcohol to make your own sanitizer. At home just use soap and water and wash for 1 minute.....or sing Happy Birthday.......and that’s the best wash you can do!! Most people don’t wash long enough. Also on the plane give the overhead air vet a good going over with your wipes 😬 I saw that on the tv. Anyway............. Have a fun night tonight!! Corned beef sounds good. I’ll have to go hunting for some.........yum!!

Well...most folks know my feelings on this subject (the virus). Way overblown and hyped. It indeed came from Wuhan, China. Wash your hands, folks (and I am allergic to the sanitizers, sigh).

Have a fun and safe trip, my friend and...WASH YOUR HANDS (grin and teasing).
