sunshine by the pool...

Aaron with Banjo, the pup lying by the pool is Pretzel, she is also the pup keeping an eye on Winston-The-Cat. The fine black pup is Lily.

We sunned and sunned some more, it was fantastic. We had coffee outside, after a yummy brekky of breakfast sandwiches with bacon. Our lunch was leftover homemade chicken pot pie, in the hot tub. We weren't hungry for dinner, so there were chips and queso, which I don't eat, but I had a few tortilla chips, then Aaron made stovetop popcorn, which is one of my favorites.

We puzzled, and watched some Simpsons. I am trying to get home sooner than next Wednesday, due to the rapid spread of this awful virus. I have a sudden urge to get home, and get there fast. This doesn't jive well with the airline industry. I plan to get up bright and early and try to get my flight changed. Kathryn is heading back to Oregon with baby Achilles tomorrow, and I would love to head back to New York, but I think the soonest I can swing it will be Saturday.

The world sure is upside down, isn't it? Travel bans and schools closed, no toilet paper, and it's not just one area, it's the whole entire world! It's unbelievable, and someday we'll look back and see what a huge fuss we made over nothing, at least I hope that's what happens.

I hope you are right, but I think this virus may cause major issues with many people. Schools here are closed as well. I pray that you will find a way to get home early. My husband and I are supposed to travel to Alabama next Monday, I pray that we can.

I went to the grocery yesterday because I actually needed some things. I live in a small town in Berkshire county, think Tanglewood. And it was crazy!! Canned goods almost sold out. Soups, veggies and anything else you could think of. TP was almost gone, too. People are taking this seriously finally. I was watching Dr. Oz and he said that if people don't start doing what their suppose to do to contain this virus that every person in the US will have it with in a year! Crazy!

Good luck getting home. I believe this morning the report was that the airlines are working with people to get them home.

Your trip looks lovely! The sun!! Oh how we need sun!! We need laughter!

Wishing you well!
Rose :)

NYS government has gone mad, I'll tell you, mad (cuckoo for coca puffs, grin).

I am sticking my tongue out--since you get to enjoy the sun and pool ((grin and laughter)).

Be safe coming home.

The past few days, I have felt like the world is ending and a sense of doom. But today, I woke up and just felt like everything will be OK in the end. And I hope I can keep that mindset. It helps that my state isn't getting hit as hard as many other states. Yes, we're probably all going to get this virus. But for most of us it will just be like another cold. Good luck getting home.

Hi Della........lovely pictures! We are leaving here 4 weeks early due to this virus. We leave at 7am on Tuesday morning and have to self quarantine in our house for 14 days when we get home. Canada is getting on the ball quickly....thank goodness. Any international traveller coming into or returning has to do this. It is a scary thing. We have had rain here........yes, rain in the desert........for 3 full days, but it looks like the sun is going to shine today!! Enjoy the rest of your stay,,........
