yeah, out and about one last time...

We went to the park, no one was there...it was warm, but then not warm down near the water. It was windy and wavy, a lovely day to be at Owasco Lake. We walked and talked and skipped around the puddles.

We ordered the tv, so we stopped at Walmart to pick it up...

Jonathan and Sonja K. went in to get it, and also to get a few things as long as we were there...

They only took one, which I believe is the limit anyway, right now.

They got some Doritos, and a gallon of milk, a big can of coffee, and some butter. There were no eggs, no meat.

This is what Abigail brought home from work yesterday:

They had some fun last night!

Jon just put the new t.v. up, it's not obnoxiously huge, just 50 inches. I could have gone bigger, but for us it's an upgrade, and it's a smart tv, and thank you Kara for the suggestion. I had NO idea what to get. I felt like an idiot when Jon carried it out through the parking lot and and older gentleman was shaking his head in disbelief. What? We're stimulations the economy!

So now we're home, and I guess that was the last outing for a LONG time, as the governor of New York state just announced a lockdown of all non-essential outings, and travel.

I'm a little confused by this lockdown...so, that means, I can't walk the dog with my husband now? Or I can't be outside now? I dont get it...(and I am being serious)-I thought being outside was the key to staying well??? I am so confused...I watched the governors press conference and indeed, words matter.

ANYWAYS-I think 2 packages of TP is allowed. No can goods, no bread, no bottled water, cereal is running low here, no meats...never in my lifetime did I think I would ever see this...

Keeping in prayer.

Hi Della. Your walk looks wonderful. We are going to go for a walk after lunch to a beautiful park near us that is part of our river valley. It goes for miles and miles. We won’t be going miles and miles however 😳 At the moment it’s -7C here and the sun is blazing and not a cloud in the sky. We are on day 3 of a 14 day self isolation.............it’s hard not to be able to go to the grocery store etc, but my sister in law grabs us a few things when she goes. You will love your new tv!! It looks as though you are all enjoying your time together too. Have a great day!

Linda, are you guys all right? Do you have what you need? I think we are still allowed to go outside for exercise if we maintain distancing. It is SO strange. There is no meat anywhere. No eggs. ugh. dellamom16@yahoo.com if you need to message me.

Marilyn, it is nice we can still go outside! Stay safe and thank you for commenting, love hearing from you!

A good idea to get out while you can, especially as no one else was about.

I've read a lot about people being greedy and thoughtless to others, but I've got to say my first hand experiences have been the opposite. I've seen a lot of kindness towards others. Well, other than the lady complaining to staff on Friday, that was disgusting behaviour in such difficult times, but that aside, I've seen so much good in people. I hope it lasts.

Stay safe, and stay well. x

Enjoy your time home, but be sure to get out to walk when you can. I believe we are going to be in the same situation soon. I hope this does not last long.

What a beautiful family you have. I saw your user name of 16 blessings mom over at Cindy's Adventures With Beth and wanted to check your blog out.
Anyway, I'm in Arizona and I'm thinking it will probably just a matter of time before our governor does the same as yours. It's scary times right now but I'm trying to trust the Lord but it's a daily struggle.
Enjoy your time with family.

It's wonderful that you were able to get out and enjoy some (much needed) fresh air.
I too wonder what they mean by 'lockdown'....and what is considered an essential errand? :)
I hope you have enough food/tp and such for your family. Big hugs!!
