celebration? today?

Today, there is upheaval in the land of the free. There are spam comments, there are fingers pointing, there is unrest, and most likely, fear. In the midst of a pandemic, when we should be bonding and banding, there's rifting and hating.
Oh, how good and blessed it is when brethren dwell together in unity. Four of my daughters, getting along just fine, in Celebration, Florida, today. Have you ever read about Celebration? It's a planned community, it's like The Stepford Wives, or perhaps like a stroll along Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives. It's fake-y, yet it's real. It's Disney, but real people live there.
The houses are lovely, so well maintained. The driveways and garages are accessible by the little roads that run behind them, so they look almost magical.
We walked around a little lake there today, after getting iced coffees and sitting in the sun. We were looking for alligators, but didn't see any. We were going to go to Magic Kingdom, were considering it, but $135 per person, for one day, well, no thank you. We have to get to the airport and fly out tomorrow, so we wouldn't even have a full day there. So we talked about going to a place called Gatorland, but Miss Char says they tape the alligator's mouths shut, and it would make her too sad. We have to leave this house in the morning, and will have much of the day to find something to do...it's gorgeous outside though. We bought picnic food and have turkey/lettuce/cheese wraps, strawberries and blueberries, and little bags of chips packed, so we'll have a nice day, then fly out in the evening. We did a little shopping today too, but I didn't buy the three dollar fake snowballs...
I also did not buy this shirt:
We didn't stop at this place, either:
America. Florida. wowza. Goodnight!

I have heard about that place but wasn't ever really sure what it was.
So people really live there?
Does remind me of The Stepford Wives!
I do like those movies. Weird, right?
Safe travels, my friend.

My dog loves those fake snowballs. And, you can throw them in the house with very little risk of breaking anything!

Kara, the girls would have killed me if I had bought those snowballs, and I mean murder! We were all sharing one checked bag, and it was already full. They were perusing the clearance dress aisle, reasoning out that they could maybe fit one little eight dollar dress, but if I presented those snowballs, uh uh, no way. I would think they would be great fun for the dogs! And the kids...
Billie Jo, yes, people live there! It's a Disney planned neighborhood, but Disney sold it, and there is trouble (structural, ect.), but you wouldn't know it. It's like driving around on a movie set. The driveways are all accessible with roads that run behind the properties, so everything looks so curb-a-licious. It was so interesting, we went there two days in a row!
