no more beep beep beep....

Yay, Mitsubishi took responsibility for the stuck parking brake sensor!  We drove around for weeks and weeks with BEEP BEEP BEEP.  We had to reschedule our appointment because we couldn't leave the house last week, but yesterday, we dropped my beautiful Outlander off, got a loaner car for a few hours, then WOW, back into silence of my car.  Miss Char said she kind of misses it, the beeping.

We had some snow here yesterday, but not as much as was forecasted.  It looked so lovely on the tree branches, but sinister too, snow, PLEASE do not kill those buds!

Paul was a bit better yesterday, more like his old self.  He made it through the day without napping!  I won't be surprised if he's exhausted today though, that seems like the way this virus goes.

The rest of us are fine and dandy.  Next week, our school goes back to five days a week, easing into it slowly through the week.  The girls don't exactly love school, but say they'll be glad to see more kids there at the same time, the hybrid with the small classes was weird to them.  One of them had a class with like three kids in it.

I think today is the day I'll fill the baskets, Jonathan is going to California on Sunday.  I was invited, but like I said the other day, what kind of wife would leave her husband home in NY and fly to Cali for a week, when he has the dreaded coronavirus?  Shh, I was tempted.  But also, what kind of mom would leave her other kids on EASTER?    Shh again, you know I would if Paul wasn't sick...

So we grow where we're planted, and we make the absolute best of it.  One of the gifts I got the kids was:  a frother/milk or cream warmer pitcher.  It sits on the little plug in base, and either froths cold milk or cream, cold foam, or warms and froths the milk, like a latte...it's really quick and easy, and what a game changer!  Our coffee from home is now better than what we could get a coffee shop.  With the kids home so much lately, I gave it to them early...it came in the mail from Walmart, and to get free shipping, I had to spend $35, so I added a family sized package of Oreos for them...when we opened the box, I think they were more excited about the cookies...

So not too much is happening in my neck of the woods...I have tons of things I could rant about, but somehow, I don't feel like it.  If you listen to mainstream news, I suggest you at least turn through the channels and see some other points of view.  I know there are things happening that aren't covered, I mean, the border crisis?   Our Canadian friends cannot come visit, the southern border is wide open.  There was a video montage of Biden saying, in essence, to come on over to the U.S., when he's president, on many different occasions.  Now he seems all confused, doesn't remember saying it.

The vaccine:  ugh.  I do not dispute that it might be a lifesaver.  I dispute how if anyone so much as questions anything about it, oh no!  Right wing conspiracy.  I despise the pressure to get one.  What happened to my body my choice?

The news...yes, ugh.  There is so much corruption, layers upon layers.  Our own governor, his behavior is absolutely deplorable.  One woman described her interactions with him, he stared at her continuously, trying to catch her eye, blatantly, so that her colleagues teased her that, "...the governor likes you!", she was humiliated and embarrassed.  He has harassed, belittled, threatened, condescended, and treated women with total disrespect.  This one makes me see red:  go ahead and google Cuomo you make that gown look good, and watch the video yourself.  He was demonstrating how to have a Covid test, and as Dr. Elizabeth Dufort approached him in full PPE, he quipped, "You make that gown look good."  She is a DOCTOR, deserving of upmost respect, and he just eeeeew, makes it creepy.

But as my friend Linda always says, "Don't let them steal your joy!"'

Have a very nice Easter weekend!

Good morning Della 👋 Good news about Paul! Hopefully all is good for him now. Eeeewwwwwww.........that snow ❄️!! My Japanese Lilac tree has leaf buds I noticed a couple of weeks ago, so hopefully we don’t get another cold snap here. Yesterday it was +17C here if you can believe!! Oh my...........beautiful. Glad you finally got your vehicle fixed.........it was disgraceful that they messed about for so long. I can hardly believe it’s Easter already. It’s my youngest daughter’s birthday today.....she’s 51 and my youngest grandson’s .......her son.....is tomorrow and he’ll be 21!! I’ll be fully vaccinated next week so in two weeks after that I’m going over to their house for a big hug from her because she is too..........nurse in the ER and was done a couple of months ago. She was so adamant about me staying home and staying safe. I can’t wait for that hug 🤗 Have a great day doing your baskets.

Glad to see a post from you! Good to hear Paul is some better. We are coloring eggs today; I boiled like 70 of them, ha. Ten plus people get that done in only minutes, sigh. Happy Easter! The Lord is risen!!!
