It's nice to be home and put baby Camille down on the clean living room floor. And go only down the hall to use the bathroom, instead of walking down the road. But here at home we are somewhat spread out again, on computers, doing our own things. Camping was an excellent fellowship builder. One afternoon, we went to town to have pizza, and then to the grocery store. Emily had already gone on home, so we had 16 of us in the van....and some of them were pretty squished. On the way back to the campsite, the van started making horrendous noises. We were reluctant to pull the camper back home with it like that, so the next day we drove 40 miles to a Chevy dealer to get it fixed...thankfully we took both vehicles up there, because they couldn't fix it 'til the next day. $171 later, it was fixed.....what fun.... so two trips to town....
I just wanted to swim in that clean cold water, then sit in the sun....we brought the playpen to the beach, and Camille would take nice little naps in it....except Charlotte Claire was jealous, she wanted night-night in the playpen, and if she notice Camille sleeping in it, she would shriek....which would wake Camille up. So we had to keep Charlotte distracted....and oh, that water was wonderful. So cold, I had to swim until I got warm. But the clouds insisted on covering the sun....the bits of sunshine that shone through were delicious....we got rain every night, sometimes just dumping down, with thunder and lightening. And one night we had a bear visit our site....we didn't see it, but we heard him....he ripped up a baby bottle we left on the picnic table....

All of this is not convincing me to go camping, you know...
