why do you need a clean bathing suit?
Why? Did you pee in it or poop?....."NO, Mommy! I just got ice-cream on it!"
Charlotte Claire, almost three and not quite potty-trained....yes, I am such an expert. I am bribing her with a new pink bike when she does poop in the toilet....we will see.
I think of you EVERY single day when I am struggling with potty-training DS. You have probably never potty-trained a child with autism but I figure if you can potty-train as many children as you have, then surely I can survive potty-training with DS and his autism-related obstacles (such as sensory problems).
My child will do anything for a dollar. Makes me nervous about how she will be in the future being in public school and all, but that is how I potty trained her..haha! Sometimes you gotta do whatcha gotta do!
Amber: That's hilarious!! I bet you wish you'd started "cheaper"!! We used gumballs and candy, which did the trick, but then you have to wonder about the wisdom of that, too! Autismomma: Hoping it goes well with you, I'm sure you'll survive, but it must be difficult.
I will do anything for a dollar too. Almost anything. I am bad with dares, too...that's how I met my husband, I was dared to tuck his shirt tag in....so I did.
Victoria, it was 91 degrees here yesterday. But don't get too excited, it is going down into the forties tonight. Right now the forecast for Saturday is high 61 , partly sunny, maybe a shower.
I have a question about sensory problems. Is that what it sounds like (loud noises, icky textures, bright or flashing lights?)? Just wondering. My Jonathan seems to have some of those...he walks on his toes, doesn't like "slime",or "flarp", or chewing gum.
I am a stay at home mom with 16 kids, no twins, Army mom, wife to Paul (still crazy about him!!!)...4 kids are still at home....the kids: Emily 38, Abigail 36, Benjamin 34 (his wife Ashley and our granddaughter Anya 9, Elise 5,Declan 1), Mariel 33, Joseph 31(and wife Bethany), Aaron 30and husband Riley) MollyRose 29(husband Josh and granddaughter Lydia, 7+Ophelia 3), Samuel 27(wife Grace,Grant 5 and Ruth will be two in August) Margaret 26(and son-in-law Adrian! and Wulf, 5,Tennyson 2), Kathryn 25(and husband Darius, son Achilles 3, b Rhys will be 2 inJune, baby Jamison) Evelyn 23, Suzanne 22, Sonja 20, Jonathan 18 Charlotte Claire 16 and Camille 15. Help for life can be found at www.activechristianity.org , which is a great source of encouragement for me.

Is it really nice enough to go swimming up there already?
