I hate driving in the snow. Hate it hate hate it. But, it must be done when one lives in New York State up near Lake Ontario. Lake effect snow, we are in the direct path of it. Not as bad as the east of the lake, or the Adirondacks, they have had like ten feet up there already. But still. I need to go to the airport at midnight in the snow.
We cleaned today. Under the couches, which always yields good stuff, if you like hair elastics and pennies and legos and matchbox cars. Mixed with dust and paper scraps. I cleaned out a cupboard, the baking/snack/candy cupboard.....chocolate chips that have escaped their bags, candy hearts, and a candy cane from last year. It is all clean in there now. I frosted the rest of the cut-out cookies, and some of the kids helped me sprinkle them. Dinner was a cheat-y easy dinner, I bought 4 pre-made pizza shells, Boboli, that were buy one get one free the other day....I had Jon and Charlotte Claire help me (even though it almost killed me) put the sauce and cheese on them, I baked them for 10 minutes, put out some fresh carrots, and dinner for 17. There are actually four pieces left in the fridge.
The kids are so excited that Emily is coming home, they were cleaning without being asked tonight. While Sonja and I were doing the dishwasher, Evelyn had Jonathan helping her clean up in the laundry room, and she swept under the table, and had Suze clean up the shoes. There is an air of excitement in here!!!
Well, seven of us are in here, and I should get off this computer now....wish me luck or say a prayer for my driving tonight!!!

I was certainly praying for you when I happened to look out and see all that white stuff, and knew you'd be out driving in it.. glad to hear she's home safely!! I'm hoping all of the travelers coming home from Norway didn't have too hard of a time with the snow..
