welcome baby josie duggar!
The Duggar family's new baby has arrived much sooner than her due date, and she is very small. One pound, six ounces. I just checked out their website, and was disgusted by the negative comments. Wow, such hatred...but I am praying for this small baby, and her family. Her poor brothers and sisters, not just her mommy and daddy. I know when we lost Robert at six months, my kids took it pretty hard. These negative commentors have no idea how much a baby is wanted and loved in a large family. My kids keep asking me to PLEASE have one more. One rude woman actually went so far to say that, "All the prayers in the world won't help this baby"....well, I hope the Lord sees fit to prove her wrong. I for one will be praying for this baby and her family.......

I cannot even read the comments that people post for the duggars anymore, most of them just stem form PURE hatred ... how sad :-(
I am praying for little Josie too

I'll be praying for her too! I don't understand mean comments, if you have nothing nice to say, why do you even care???Is it too hard to turn the tv off?
Oh anyway..
Babies starting at 24 weeks can be saved! And this baby is already covered with prayers. Maybe the whole purpose of their show was so many people would pray for the baby right away. She has to be very special!! :)
what's wrong with hateful people? what is it that brings out that in women to where they'd comment so rudely on someone's blog or webpage? the announcement of a birth is a beautiful thing. God bless their family and this baby as they work to keep her healthy! And I don't care how big or small your family is - every pregnant woman ever takes risks when she gets pregnant, and one risk is that baby may come early. That's all up to God and even the healthiest most careful women have premies. I wish people would think about how hateful they are being before they mouth off about something they know nothing about! All of my babies have been full term (thank God!) but I know that it's just that - a blessing - and there's always a possibility that this baby could be here any day. I'll pray for the duggars even though I don't know them. Do you have their website address so I can leave some encouraging words?
We live in a sad and wicked world. Our society has blinded us to the value of children and, according to some, if we do not raise our birth rate, our society is in for a complete collapse.
If we would live according to the scriptures there would be no need to worry about overpopulation (which, by the way, I believe is a farce).
My bet is these children grow up to be more loving, caring, giving individuals because of the size of their family and their training.
Martha, I am with you on the overpopulation thing. And true, the baby has an excellent chance of survival. Especially since so many people are praying for her. The blog address is http://blogs.discovery.com/tlc-michelle-duggar-blog/
Reading those awful comments makes me feel pretty uncomfortable! I forget how much hate is in the world....
I'm wondering what they'll say to God, who gives life?? Even if they don't agree with their choices, the rudeness and hatred is unbelieveable!! I would guess the bad comments stem from jealousy, over something they themselves can't comprehend.. and I feel sorry for them. And I'm praying that little baby will grow up to be a blessing, of course it will!!
I agree with all your reader's comments. If 'they' don't agree with having so many children, that is fine, they don't have to, but why must they push their beliefs onto others? I learned in kindergarten "You worry about you and let them worry about themselves." In other words, mind your own business. Adding my prayers to the rest for baby Josie.
One of my favorite quotes from a Disney movie is in Bambi, where Thumper says something rude about Bambi. His mother says, "Thumper, what did your father tell you?" He replies, "If you can't say nothin nice, don't say nothin at all." No truer words have been spoken.
As a Roman Catholic, I pray that God's will be done. But it doesn't hurt to pray a Rosarie for Baby Josie and her family. :)
I came upon your blog from doing a search looking for any update on precious little Josie and sweet Mama, Michelle. I agree w/ the above commenters: If folks can't say anything nice or supportive, they should keep quiet. It's so sad to think that people can be so full of hatred. Our family joins you all in praying extra hard for this tiny babe and her whole family.
I do not feel hatred and animosity toward the Duggars. I greatly admire and respect them. However, I disagree with their continuing to procreate. As a Labor&Delivery nurse, I realize the great risk Michelle is putting upon herself. After 17 pregnancies and 2 former C-sections, Michelle's uterus must be thinner than paper. She is at risk for uterine rupture, a life threatening condition, DIC, a strange condition that often happens in high risk pregnancy where the mother often quickly bleeds to death, and many other complications, including placenta previa, a dangerous condition whereby the placenta attaches itself too close to the cervix. This can happen to any woman who has been pregnant 6 or 7 times, because the placenta never attaches to an area of the uterus where it has attached in a previous pregnancy. The result can easily and readily be fetal demise, as the placenta becomes pressured later in the pregnancy, and cannot be delivered in front of the baby, or the fetus will die. Also at her age, the risk of having a baby with Down's syndrome is as high as one birth in 12. So for these reasons, I think the Duggars have been incredibly blessed by having 18 kids, and it is time to stop.
It's very sad, it reminds me of what Jesus said, in this world we will face persecution. I don't usually read the blogs sent to the Duggars, because I find I wind up getting hurt too. However, now that we have 5, (yes I know compared to 16 & 19 5 seems like a drop in the bucket) we can't go out to eat without being compared to the Duggars and hearing comments about them or sadly Jon & Kate. Guess as Christians our best avenue is prayer. The Lord woke me up tonight dwelling on Forgiveness, tenderheartedness, Fruits of Righteousness, etc. . . . .
Not sure how this blog system works (delete this blog!) Did you recieve my last blog? I don't want to crush you with the same thing because I'm new at this?
Many blessings

I LOVE the Duggars! I also cannot believe some of the cruel comments made by some people about them and their children. I honestly believe they should be be able to have as many children as they are able to have and support. And support them they do!! They live a totally debt free life, which is something that most of use, even those without ANY children, cannot say in these days and times.
I've never seen a more loving family than the Duggars - you can tell that the love they show towards one another (parents and children included) is real - not just a put-on for tv, unliked the "love" portrayed in some other "reality" type shows.
I pray for Michelle, Josie and all the rest of the family every day and cannot wait until we finally receive the word we've all been waiting for that little Josie is able to come home to her loving family.
God Bless the Duggars!
I was looking for a reference to Thumper's saying in the Disney movie that my Dad & Mom used to quote to me: " If you can't say nothin' nice, don't say nothin' at all!"
This blog came up and I was shocked to see that people actually post such hurtful negative comments about such an innocent little life.
I echo the comments already posted and send my heartfelt prayers out for this precious little baby.
My God Bless her and her family!
And, like Thumper said :"If you can't say nothin' nice, don't say nothin' at all!"
